CHEF HUGO
I am Chef Hugo, an enthusiastic home chef aged 45, who has immersed himself in the world of cooking and organising delicious dinners since 2012. My passion for cooking started back in my childhood, where I was always fascinated by festive Christmas dinners, where the whole family gathered around a beautifully laid table. Even the simple but cosy gourmet evenings were highlights for me.
WHERE MY JOURNEY BEGAN
My journey of culinary discovery got a boost when, as a teenager, I got to dine regularly in different restaurants, ranging from international cuisines to renowned Michelin-starred restaurants. These experiences opened my eyes to the diversity of flavours and cooking techniques, and inspired me to create my own dishes that evoke memories of these culinary adventures.

Insatiable hunger for culinary knowledge
Although I am not yet a chef who develops his own recipes yet, I consider myself a chef in development. My bedside table is full of cookbooks, from which I study new recipes every night before a good night rest. I enjoy trying different versions of classics and combining them into my own unique creations. Always in search of perfection.
INSPIRATION FROM TOP CHEFS
My favourite chefs, such as Heston Blumenthal, Raymond Blanc, Sergio Herman and Jamie Oliver, have each left their influential mark on my culinary journey. Heston Blumenthal's experimental approach and his pursuit of perfection have always inspired me. Raymond Blanc's ability to present classic French dishes in a sophisticated way, and Sergio Herman's creativity and flavour combinations, have enriched and broadened my cooking style. Take a seat at our home restaurant and you can experience for yourself what I have learned from these chefs.
DELIVERING THE BEST EXPERIENCE
Besides my passion for cooking, I also work as a digital designer of websites, platforms and apps. I see many parallels between designing and creating dishes: both require the right preparation, creativity and attention to detail to create the best possible experience for the user or guest.
MY FAVOURITE...
My favourite restaurant is without a doubt The Fat Duck by Heston Blumenthal, where I once experienced the most unforgettable Christmas dinner. My love for wine was born during a special experience at Ciel Bleu in Amsterdam, and my favourite dish remains the delicious Chicken Tikka Massala, with all possible side dishes, of course.
